Who We Are
Our mission is to provide support for the emotional wellbeing challenges faced by children and young people. We deliver caring and empathetic support to help children and young people to feel valued, listened to, and empowered.

Meet Jo
I am Director and Founder of Talk Psychology. I'm an Assistamt Psychologist with Graduate Chartered Membership with the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS). I hold a Masters in Psychology, a Masters in Psychosocial Studies and a Certificate in Counselling Skills. I created Talk Psychology after working with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and also children and young people with neurodiversity-related needs. I believe that all children have the right to feel safe and be heard, so I founded Talk Psychology to provide a space where children and young people can talk about their emotional wellbeing while being supported and listened to with compassion and care.

What We Do
Talk Psychology supports children and young people aged 7-18 years old. Support is based on a trauma informed approach, and sessions are delivered within the child or young person's environment so that a holistic approach is taken to therapeutic care.
Support covers topics including emotional wellbeing, building resillience, understanding emotions, and emotional regulation.
Tailored support is also available for young people with neurodiversity, including understanding neurodiversity and neurodiversity and identity.
We welcome referrals from NHS, children's residential care home providers, education providers and charities.
